The Powerpump EV Charger comes with a SAE J1772 connector, so it works with all electric cars, including, but not limited to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and Niro, Nissan Leaf, Audi e-Tron, Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lighting, Volkswagen ID.4, and Rivian R1T.
The Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y have proprietary connectors and require a J1772 adapter.
Installation process of an electric vehicle charger step by step:
The first step, after you contact Add Solar and Electrical LLC, is a courtesy visit by one of our Electric Vehicles Charger Installers in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties to assess the electrical capacity of the house and the ideal conditions of the charging point chosen by you. That visit will help you choose the most convenient Level 2 EV charger model and allow us to give you a free estimate on installation costs.
Installation cost of an electric vehicle charger:
Installation costs will be associated with the type of charger chosen by you and the existing conditions in the home. An EV Charger Installer in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties will assess the capacity of the home's main electrical panel (keep in mind that a dedicated circuit just for the charger will need to be installed) and the distance from there to the point where the charger will be installed. Home electric vehicle charging stations range from $350 to $900. Installation costs range from $480 to $1,700 for labor alone, but you should be aware that there may be government programs to help with the cost.
